Ping Pong Tournament & ALS Fundraiser

The ALS Fundraiser raises money for The Walk to Defeat ALS® which is The ALS Association’s biggest annual event.  It raises funds that allows local chapters to sustain care services and support research for much of the next year.

In February, Advanced Remarketing Services moved into our new digs in Middletown, Rhode Island.  One of the perks of our new building is our conference room table.  Sounds strange right?  Well it happens to double as a ping pong table!  So once we settled in, it was decided that we would hold a voluntary tournament to be an ALS Fundraiser.  The entry fee was $2 per person (some gave $5), and all of the money collected went towards an upcoming “Walk to Defeat ALS” that is sponsored by the RI chapter of the ALS Association and that ARS is participating in on September 17th.

During the first round, there were 24 matches.  From there, winners were paired back up into new brackets until it was determined who the finalists were going to be.  As suspected, the final round was a face-off between Jarred, our Technical Director, and Gary, our Buyer Relations Specialist.  We knew it would be a good match!

After some great volleys, Gary won 11-7 and ARS raised $200 towards the ALS Walk. For more information on the Walk to Defeat ALS, please visit:
